The Process Engineer - Mechanical will be responsible for executing the process engineering functions required to develop electrode casting fabrication and component assembly operations to support a fully functioning pilot line based on the product requirements with the define process. Key to this role will be developing and validating the operational steps for the line specific to battery electrode fabrication and assembly processing.
Job Description :
- Support the equipment layout and process operational readiness for the new pilot line battery plant. The engineer in this role will have a key responsibility to ensure methods are in place for the safe and efficient operation for the electrode fabrication and assembly process areas.- Support machine design reviews and validation during the building and testing of the new equipment to be delivered to the GPSC Pilot Line.- Develop processing windows for operation and integrate process control parameters into the manufacturing controls.- Development of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and training of operators to ensure safe and accurate methods are used for processing area.- Monitor and report on product quality to ensure alignment with the product requirements.- Support of process improvement activities for quality and cycle time improvements.- Work closely with MES engineers to define data and information required to Manufacturing Execution System (MES) - Maintain and provide trouble shooting for automated casting and assemble equipment- Report and recommend on manufacturing issues to Management- Provide guidance and expert advice on manufacturing process- Train and supervise operation supervisors and operators- Other duties as required
- Bachelor Degree in a mechanical or mechatronic engineering- A minimum of 2 year of experience in mixing process- Hand-on experience in assemble line with automated equipment is highly preferable- Experience designing, specifying and implementing a manufacturing execution system.- Experience in battery manufacturing plant is preferable- A solid knowledge of process engineering fundamentals for electrode fabrication and assembly including process validation skills to ensure proper control and enable process improvements are preferable- Knowledge of best practices in automation and control system, manufacturing data collection systems, and operations management systems- Ability to prepare contingency plans and logically work through complex issues, high paced environment and pressure filled atmosphere- Fluent in English, both writing and speaking- Excellent communication skill and able to across working field such as manufacturing, engineering, contractor, suppliers, business and administration- Demonstrated ability to understand complex and new manufacturing processes.- Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships
